Biography

I was born in 1958, in Birmingham, England.

I now live in Scholar Green, near Stoke-on-Trent.

I'm currently work as a maintenance engineer in Bollington, Nr. Macclesfield.

I became interested in photography in 1978, whilst serving in the British Army and due to the extensive traveling to unusual places, took up photography as a hobby.

My main passion (except my wife) is scuba diving. I learnt to dive during my time in the Army and then took up diving some years later, after leaving the Army. I am a BSAC, SSI, DAN & 1st Aid instructor and I tie my love of photography and diving to now concentrate on underwater photography.

I also enjoy normal photography, especially nature and travel photography. I quite often attend wildlife photography workshops in the hope of improving my images.

My choice of camera equipment manufacturer is Nikon. I use the D500, D3200, D80 and D70 DSLR's and my lenses of choice are both Nikon & Sigma lenses. I use 10.5mm, 10-20mm, 18-50mm, 18-55mm VR, 35mm, 40 & 50mm Macro and 85 & 105mm Macro underwater. On land I use Sigma 80-300mm, 50-500mm and 18-200 mm OS zoom lenses. I have Ikelite underwater housings and flashes for the Nikon camera systems.
